Inflatable Store

One of the most exciting developments in temporary chilled storage is the Inflatable Store, an inflatable structure that can be erected in minutes and brought down to temperature in 2 or 3 hours. It can also be used as a temporary retail outlet, for instance following a major fire or flood (see below for Inflatable Supermarket for Retailers). The inflatable store is available to purchase from 5es.

The Inflatable Store, including refrigeration equipment, can fit neatly into a transit van when not in use and is perfect for temporary chilled warehouse storage. If you need it for catering events, it can be branded with your logo, in extra large livery, if required.

It is suitable for a range of potential applications, for example, in an ambient warehouse to provide a chilled/temperature controlled space for foods, or in a delivery area of a supermarket. Applications also exist within the agricultural, horticultural, pharmaceutical, medical, military or any other undertakings seeking a cost effective chill store facility.

The core is made from insulation material and lined with industrial PVC coated polyester to retain a constant and efficient thermal barrier.

The basic Inflatable Store module measuring 6 metres wide by 4 metres long and approximately 2.8 metres high can accommodate about 18-24 roll pallets or cages in its 47 cubic metres of space. Adding another 4 metre module increases capacity to 100 cubic metres, sufficient for 36-48 roll pallets or cages.

Once inflated, the structure is self supporting and only requires an intermittent low pressure air supply from it's integral pump to maintain its shape. When not in use the Dome can be folded into a comparatively small portable bag, which can be carried in a small van.

Emergency Inflatable Supermarket

Our temporary inflatable store for retailers comes with 48 sq m (517 sq ft) sales area and 24 sq m (258 sq ft) refrigerated store room. The store is ready to take sufficient cabling for electricity (either from a generator or mains) and for data and communications. If necessary a satellite uplink facility and/or wireless facilities can be provided for continuous data transfer. Although this size of store can be trading within a few hours, we can then add modules within a few more hours with minimal disruption, thus increasing the store's size as it is stocked. It is therefore suggested that the initial inflatable store is located in a position that will allow for modules to added.

We supply optional racking for the store room and can supplement POS fixtures supplied by the customer with our own fixtures if required, including POS freezers. We do not supply tills however. Once the retailer has stocked and staffed the store, you can continue to trade!

NB Whether you use our inflatable store or another solution, we urge retailers to consider obtaining planning permission (if required) for location of temporary structures in the car park or other suitable location near to your stores and have this permission renewed as necessary. Although we can have you trading in a few hours, planning permission could take many weeks. fact they often do.
